As part of the “Mėmelio miestas” project in Klaipėda, the HANZA Class A business centre blends respectfully into the fabric of Klaipėda’s Old Town, whilst upholding the principles of contemporary architecture – clear form, functionality and sustainability.
Participating in and supplying materials for this project is a great responsibility for us and, at the same time, a source of professional satisfaction, with respect for the local context, people and the environment.
The terracotta from NBK Keramik GmbH, chosen for the façade and roof, strikes a subtle balance between durability, weather resistance, minimal maintenance and aesthetics, whilst ensuring a high standard of the building’s performance characteristics – it helps keep the structure dry, improves the building’s energy efficiency, and offers excellent sound insulation and fire resistance.

The use of over 6,500 m² of TERRART®-LARGE and TERRART®-BAGUETTE clay ceramic elements lends the façade a sense of solidity, massiveness and rhythm, whilst the colour and texture of the material harmonise perfectly with the character of the Old Town.
